Dzeliwe de Swaziland
Inkhosikati LaShongwe Dzeliwe Shongwe (born in 1927) was the Régente queen of Swaziland between the September 21st 1982 and August 9th 1983.
She was the woman of the king Sobhuza II of Swaziland, with which she had a child, Prince Khuzulwandie Dlamini.
After the death of her husband in August 1982, the royal congress named Dzeliwe like Reine Regent, as long as the Prince Makhosetive, indicated by the king like successor, until it reached the twenty-two years age. Liqoqo supported its regency, but soon there were dissensions with its Prime Minister, Mabandla Dlamini, and the other members of the Congress carried out by Mfansibili Dlamini. These problems continued until March 1983, when Prince Mabandla was replaced by Prince Bhekimpi Dlamini. Queen Dzeliwe opposed its resignation, and that led it to be replaced by the mother of Makhosetive, Ntombi de Swaziland as regent.
Prince Makhosetive was crowned on April 25th, 1986, when the name of the king Mswati III of Swaziland. In May, Mswati dissolves Liqoqo, consolidating its capacity and reorganizing the government.
In May 1987, twelve people were accused of sedition and treason in relation to the departure of the queen Regent Dzeliwe in 1983. King Mswati created a special court to judge these crimes against the king and the queen mother, in whom them marked were not entitled to a representation. In March 1988, they were judged by a court, however it were released in July.
Between 1981 and 1985, it maintains the station President of the National congress.
