Dzaoudzi
Dzaoudzi is a common Frenchwoman of Mayotte made up of 2 villages: Dzaoudzi and Labattoir .
Geography
The village of Dzaoudzi is on a rock piton located near the Small-Ground to which it is connected by the Boulevard of the Crabs (artificial dam). To go in Large Ground, a system of barges managed by the STM (Company of the Maritime transport) connects Dzaoudzi to Mamoudzou.The international airport of Mayotte is with Pamandzi, common neighbor of Dzaoudzi-Labattoir.
Administration
Dzaoudzi was the seat of the Prefecture of Mayotte (built on plans of Gustave Eiffel) before this one is not transferred to Mamoudzou in the middle of the years 1980.
A base of the Foreign legion (DLEM) is there, one names it the rock, because it is located in top of a rock piton.
Demography
The common one counts 15339 inhabitants gathered mainly in the village of Labattoir and account the strongest population density with Mayotte with 2349 hab. /km ². (in 2007).
