Dynamic Pressure

The dynamic pressure noted Q represents the energy of a Fluide moving. Its expression is comparable with that of the kinetic energy 1/2 m V^2 \, :

q = 1/2 \ rho V^2 \,
with ρ (rho): Density of the fluid in kg/m3
with V: rate of travel relating to the fluid in m/s

In Aeronautical, the dynamic pressure is added to the static Pression to give the total pressure which can be measured at the point null speed or Stagnation point by a Tube of Pitot. By removing the Static pressure, one finds the pressure dynamic.
