Dykes to Watch Out For (published in French under the title Lesbians to follow ) is a series of American cartoon written and drawn by Alison Bechdel starting from 1983. This series is known for its expression of the female homosexuality and its engagement Politique.

This Comic is a portrait in constant evolution of the community lesbian in the United States. Dyke to Watch Out For reflects the life of homosexual of the United States through many characters, different backgrounds: handicapped Afro-Americans, Latinas, Asian, , male, female women… This series refuses to reproduce social exclusions and tries to give an account of several identity S.

Mo: white young woman of the middle-class, with the short hair, bearing glasses. It with the very critical spirit, but is easily distressed and critical of the American industrial relations policy; partner of Sydney in last volumes.
Sydney: professeure of cynical and intellectual university, Mo partner in last volumes.
Clarice: Afro-American, strongly implied in the political struggles; partner of Toni.
Toni: Spanish-American, the long hair; partner of Clarice.
Rafael or Raffi: wire of Toni and Clarice (biological child of Toni)
Sparrow: Asian woman, very female, psychology is her hobby-horse. In couple with a man in last volumes.
Ginger: Afro-American, academic, intellectual and not very sure of it.
Laws: white, very male woman, very related to the thing.
Harriet: white woman, with male clothing, Mo partner in the first volumes.
Jezanna: Afro-American, independent bookseller and activist; employ Mo and Laws in the first volumes.
