Dwarf star

In astronomy, a star is known as “ dwarf ” when its Classe of luminosity is V. That means that the star is young and is, in the Diagramme HR, still on the principal sequence.

It should not be confused with stars called dwarf white or dwarf brown which is both of the stellar states of development completion different.
