Affiliated since 1999 with the formation of MLB of the Tampa Bay Devil Rays, the bulldozers play on level Triple-HAVe in International League. Founded the March 18th 1902, the formation evolves/moves since 1995 with the Durham bulldozers Athletic Park (10 000 places). The bulldozers reach the level Triple-HAVe in 1999 after having played in particular into Simple-HAVe in the Carolina League of 1945 with 1967 then of 1980 with 1997.

History

The frankness from Durham bulldozers was founded the March 18th 1902. A bringing together takes place between the teams close to Raleigh (Raleigh Pirates) and Durham and the team adopted temporarily the name of Raleigh-Durham Mets in 1968, of Raleigh-Durham Phillies in 1969 then of Raleigh-Durham Triangles of 1970 with 1971. The team ceases her activities of 1972 with 1979 then finds her name of origin and her place in Carolina League in 1980.

In 1988, Kevin Kostner, Susan Sarandon and Tim Robbins are the heroes of a film devoted to the Baseball in minor league: Duet to three ( Bull Durham ). This film which known a great success drew the attention to the club.
