Dupuis
Dupuis is a Belgian editor of Cartoon .
The publisher Dupuis was created by the printer Jean Dupuis in 1922 with Charleroi. It symbolizes a component of the cultural landscape of Wallonia as one can note it with the cover of the Histoire book of Wallonia.
En 1938, Jean Dupuis creates a newspaper which it intends for youth and the direction entrusts some to its two sons Charles and Paul Dupuis. It will be the magazine Spirou , magazine weekly of cartoon which the 1st number will leave the April 21st 1938. The first album of cartoon of the editions Dupuis, Bibor and Tribar by Rob-Vel, will leave press in 1940.

In 1995, when is published the 3.000ème number of the newspaper of Spirou, the Dupuis editions changed well. The family company was dismantled. Dominated from now on by group GBL/CNP of Albert Frère, and always anchored on its native soil of Marcinelle, it became multinational. Since 2004, Dupuis belongs to the group Media-Participations which has also Dargaud.
Dupuis will publish the Belgian magazines Bonne Evening and the Mosquito (current the Télémoustique )
