Saint-Martin-with-the-Cluze is a common French, located in the department of the Isere and the area the Rhone-Alps. Its inhabitants is called the Martinous Saints.

Geography

The commune of St Martin of Cluze is located at the doors of Trièves. Thanks to its proximity with Grenoble, she saw her population doubling in a score of years. This village impresses history is built around a Romane vault dating from XIIe century (St Christophe de Paquier).

Emile Gilioli (atrist sculptor of re-elected 20th century) remained of 1942 to 1945 to St Martin of Cluze then episodically during many years. Besides it wished to be buried in the commune. Its house and in particular its workshop are opened today with the public, permanently exposing the course of the sculptor and the great diversity of its artistic activity.
