Dun Leia
Originating in Caen, Karen and Elodie met with the college. They write songs since the fifteen years age. After a stay within the Kétilomah group, with which they leave an own-produced album, they form their duet and sign on the Murrayfield label.
Dun Leïa first of all appeared with an acoustic title on compilation " Voices of Liberté" with Ray Charles, Dee Dee Bridge Toilets and Native. Dun Leïa records a first mini-album entitled " Your égal" in December 98 with the Véga studio in Co-realization with Dave Allen (The Cleans, Neneh Cherry), and mixes it in London with frightening Al Clay (Pixies, Sterephonics).
Following the success of their individual " Your égal" , Dun Leïa started, at the beginning of 2000, a French round of 30 dates which finished on July 14th in Francofolies of the La Rochelle.
For their first album, " entitles; To drive out the écume" , the two young women made a point of being surrounded musicians who know their music well for a long time: a true spirit of group for songs rock'n'roll and melody.
This album is a unit where the sensitivity, the female charm and the texts with flower of skin involve us in the very personal atmosphere of Dun Leïa.
The group separates in 2002, the 2 singers having decided to take different musical ways
The group is composed of:
- Elodie Legros, alias Skye
- Karen Lothier, alias Katel
