Dumfries and Galloway

The district of Dumfries and Galloway covers the western part of the Southern Uplands , in the south of the Scotland, it is an area of Colline S and meadow S with farms profitable. The Galloway Forest Park is practically the only place of Scotland where the Forêt was reimplanted with large scales.

The peninsula of the the Rhines off Galloway , to south-west, is turned towards the Mer, Stanraer is the port from where one embarks for the Northern Ireland. The shore is by places made up of impressive cliffs where the waves come to break the days of strong sea.

Dumfries (approx. 32  000 inhabitants) is a tourist center where the memory of the poet Robert Burns is very present.
