Duchess of Angouleme

The Duchesse of Angouleme is a variety of Poire.

It has as synonyms: Duchess… of Pezenas, Eparonnais

The fruit is rather bulky, of ovoid form. The skin is yellow (greenish). The flesh is white (melting).

It is with maturity of mid-October at the end of December.

This name indicates also Marie Therese de France (1778-1851).
