Ducati 750 S with belt

The 750 S or 750 Supersport is a model of sporting motor bike builds by Ducati.

The 750 S appears in 1991, two years after the 900 of which it takes again the line and of many parts.

Its engine of 748 cm ³ is derived from that of Pantah, with its distribution by belt. If the majority of the machines are equipped with an oil radiator, the first were deprived by it. Problems of heating of the engine pushes the factory quickly has to adopt that of the 900, initially in option, then of series over the year 1992.

It takes again the two Mikuni carburettors 38 mm in diameter of the 900. Starting when the outside temperature is low being sometimes hard, a kit of reheating of carburettor is sold in option as from 1994.

Contrary to the 900, it uses a clutch in oil bath and a box with 5 reports/ratios.

The whole of the suspension is entrusted to Showa, braking is Brembo stamp with a disc of 320 mm with before and a disc of 245 mm to the back. A second disc of front brake is available in option in 1992, then of series as from 1994.

For its first year of marketing, it is available only in red and with an integral careenage. Since 1992, the semi-ducted version is marketing and it can be ordered in yellow.

In 1995, the Showa fork is replaced by Marzocchi of 40 Misters.

In 1997, it adopts the new careenage, with an additional air intake to cool the rear roll.

In 1998, like the 900, it is replaced by a model with a new esthetics and using a fuel injection engine.
