Ducati 695 Monster
The Ducati 695 Monster is a motor bike built by Ducati.
Appeared at the beginning of 2006, M695 supplements the Monster range, between the 620 and the 800 S 2R. The worked over again engine of the 620 develops 73 horses. It is nevertheless available in version " 34 chevaux" , for the young drivers.
The first 300 specimens are sold 6.995 €, that is to say 500 € of less than the 620 standard. The price passes then to 7.495 €, M695 is thus sold with the same price as M620.
Like the 620, M695 takes again the coupling system APTC (Adler Power Torque Clutch), the effort required on the lever is reduced and a shock absorber of couple decreases the risks of back wheel locking on a fast rétrogradage.
The fork comes from the catalog Marzocchi and the back shock absorber is Sachs. Braking is entrusted to a unit Brembo composed of two discs 300 mms in diameter to before and of 245 diameter mms to the back.
As on all Monster, the practical aspects are forgotten. There is no filing space under the saddle and the place left to the passenger is uncomfortable, without handles of maintenance.
The principal innovation of this model is the lengthening of the frequencies of the revisions, of 10 000 to 12.000 km, thus twisting the neck with the reputation which sticks to the mark: high maintenance costs.
