Dry mouths
Dry Gueules is nonthe d´une Fanfare of Limoges created in 1922 on the initiative of its founder president Pierre Desnoyers, and which was to last only the time of a Carnaval, in order to brighten a procession become insipid.
History
The origin of its name comes from famous “the broken Gueules ”, nickname given to the soldiers of the First World War what gave the name to the Fanfare of the Dry Mouths of Limoges , renamed more simply the Dry Gueules in 2005.The group still exists with an about sixty musicians all amateurs who kept the main features of the behavior of time, namely a hat Haut-de-forme accompanied by a plumet, a jacket with Queue-de-pie, small a Gilet and Guêtre S.
This brass band was in particular made known during its displacements in Germany (where it is twinned with a group of Stuttgart), in Poland (at the time of a voyage in 1994), in Spain and finally on all France where it regularly has to take part in processions carnavalesques.
Moreover, it took part in 1997 in the television program animated by Pascal Sevran “the Chance in the songs” on the topic of France of the brass bands .
Since 1981, it recorded four albums beginning again of the pieces of its very varied repertory, whose latest to date goes back in November 2005.
