Dry Triple

A dry triple is a Liqueur of barks of orange used in very many Cocktail S and receipts.

Dry triple is invented in 1834 per Jean-Baptiste Combier with Saumur, in France. Distilling Combier always produces an Original Triples Dry as well as Royal Combier.

Dry triple can only be drunk, but is generally used like ingredient of cocktail, for example in the receipt of the margarita.

The most famous marks of dry triple are probably Large Cointreau and - marnier but there exist many other marks, among which Aristocrat, Arrow, Bandolero, Bols, DeKuyper, Hiram Walker, McGuinness, Mohawk and Mr. Boston. Its volume of alcohol varies between 15 and 40°, generally 30°.

In spite of its color, the curaçao is generally regarded as triple.
