Drunk person blues

The Soul blues is a style of Blues which developed at the end of the Années 1960 and with the beginning of the Années 1970, mixture of Soul music and contemporary urban music.

Origin

This style appeared because singers and musicians having grown by listening to electric Blues traditional (Muddy Waters, Jimmy Reed, Elmore James etc), singers of drunk person (like Sam Cooke, Ray Charles or Otis Redding) and of the Gospel wanted to mix their preferred musical styles.

One of the pioneers of the drunk person blues was the group Bobby Blue Bland and the song " The Thrill Is Gone" of BB King was a model of this kind of music.
