Gameplay

Soul Calibur II is a play of combat in traditional 3D, like Dead gold Alive 3 or Tekken 4 . He adds a particular element: each combatant is equipped with a Knife like a sword, a Couteau, a Hache… the engagements are held in arenas which have each one a particular topic.

It is possible to incarnate 19 characters having each one 12 weapons, 1 character who can handle all the weapons (Charade) and 3 others having an imposed weapon. What on the whole makes 23 combatants and 200 weapons, majority being to resolve, like the many costumes, kinematics (6), arenas (15), images…

Mode Conquest

In the version arcade only, the play includes/understands a mode Conquest where the goal is to conquer territories by gaining engagements against the other players. The player can safeguard his progression in the limits thanks to a code.

Mode Quest

On console only, the play includes/understands a mode Quest (the " mode; Master of Armes" ) which tells the history of the combatant selected by the player. This one moves in various zones in which it must take part in varied tests, as to put K.O an adversary whereas its life is regenerated, to kill a certain number of enemies in limited time, or to gain a round without being touched only once. These missions increase in difficulty with for goal, the destruction of " Edge" drunk person;.
