Drunk (province)

The Drunk ( Xiberoa in dialect Souletin, pronunciation: “chibéroua”, Zuberoa in Basque unified) is smallest of the seven provinces of the Basque Country.
It is populated of approximately 16 000 inhabitants and his capital is Mauléon-Licharre. The inhabitants are called souletins in French and xiberotarrak in Souletin.
Its economy rests mainly on agriculture, aeronautical subcontracting and some small craft industries like that of the Espadrille.
One speaks into Drunk a particular Basque dialect: the Souletin.
Geography
It is limited:- in north by the Gave d' Oloron separating it from the Béarn
- in the east by the valley of Barétous (Béarn)
- in the south by the Valley of Salazar in Navarre (Spain)
- in the west by the Low-Navarre
