The Drums of Bronx were born in 1987 with Varennes-Vauzelles, commune adjacent with Nevers, Nievre (58), in France. Their name comes from a district of Varennes-Vauzelles called “the Bronx ” for its squaring of streets and its alignments of identical houses, of dark color. This district was then inhabited in majority by the workmen of the workshops of the SNCF, from which the first cans used by the TDB come.Their first service was to be only one single event, within the framework of the Nevers festival in Vif.
20 years later, they occurred with the the United States, with the Brésil, the United Arab Emirates, the Morocco, in Tunisia, Greece, with the Réunion, Djibouti, in Slovenia and in all the Western Europe, with key periods the such procession on the Fields-Élysées at the time of the bicentenary of the French revolution for Jean Paul Goude in 1989, the first part of Johnny Hallyday under the Eiffel Tower for his 40 years of career, six weeks of round through the USA in 2000, the Sziget Festival in first part of KoЯn to Budapest in 2005, the Festival of Roskilde in first part of Jimmy Page and Robert Plant of Led Zeppelin in Denmark in 1992 and 1995, the Stade de France in 2006, etc

Frequent questions
- the cans used since the beginnings are MONOSTRESS of 225l, selected for their resonance and their flexibility. They are received rough by Semi-remorque, then painted by the TDB in their buildings. A can makes two concerts, one by face. It finishes given to the public at the time of the second concert.
- the mailloches are in beech and measure 40cm length, for 3cm of diameter. A musician breaks about 2 pairs per concert of them. At the beginnings of the TDB, they were obtained by sawing handles of pickaxe. They are now delivered by pallets.
- There are 14 cans on scene, 2 musicians with the stands with samples, and 1 with electro. A singer, even two, accompany certain pieces. The arc of circle of the cans is divided into 3 parts called “Base”, “Medium” and “Rhythmic”.
The electronic sounds, started by the metal stands of tubes, arrived in the middle of the Années 1990. Before this time, the concerts were only acoustic, with a manpower which can reach nearly 25 people on scene. The current set always preserves a few pieces of pure can. It is still able at the group to occur in acoustics with a set of 20mn, contrary to the complete set, which exceeds 1:30.
The advanced sound tablecloths, as well as the melodies of various instruments, arrived in 2003, with the album Stereostress Remixes . This made it possible the group to explore other musical styles, while keeping its industrial roots. An additional musician, dedicated to this complex machinery, is present on scene since this date.
