Drouin Oscar
Oscar Drouin (1890-1953) is a man Politique, a lawyer and a Canadian Journaliste (Québécois).
Native of Quebec, it studied with the commercial Académie of Quebec, the school Jacques-Cartier, the Collège of Lévis and the Université Laval. Received in the occupation of lawyer in 1915, it joined Adjutor Dussault, Henri-Paul Drouin, Charles-Auguste Gamache, Valmore Bienvenue, Jean-Charles McGee and Marcel Létourneau and Lucien Gosselin.
He collaborates in the newspaper the new Era and stands as a candidate to the Québécois general election of 1928, where he is elected appointed liberal in Quebec-Is. Re-elected in 1931, it is presented to the Mairie of Quebec. Member of the national liberal Action, it is elected under this banner in 1935, but it adopts soon the National union of Maurice Duplessis and has suddenly directed the organization of the party.
In 1937, it separates from unionistic and cofonde the national Parti. With the election of 1939, it joined the Liberal party and it is named minister in the government of Adélard Godbout, where it deals of the Commerce and the municipal Affaires.
In the year 1944, it leaves its seat of deputy but reaches the presidency of the municipal Commission of Quebec. Its last candidature came in 1945, when it was demolishes in the federal district of Matapédia-Matane. Returned in the right, it takes part in the activities of the historical Société of Montreal and the genealogical Société Canadian-Frenchwoman, then dies in Quebec the July 16th 1953.
