Driver 2

History

Driver 2 is a video game published in November 2000 on the PlayStation under the name " Driver 2: the Wheelman Is Back" (in Europe , Driver 2: Back one the Streets). It is the continuation of the first opus éponyme, Driver . Developed by Reflections Software and published by Atari (Infogrames), it is the first play general public in 3D to combine phases with foot and in the car; what is at the time, enough revolutionist. Two years later, a modified version leaves on Game Boy Advance. Its rather gravitational price on console of living room (approximately 45€) made an additional advantage of it.

However because of many bugs it is rather badly accommodated by the specialized press. These bugs will be later exploited by several small communities on Internet in order to answer real waiting of the players (many bugs, easy ways, tips, are hidden and to discover in the play, adding an undeniable appreciation).

This play is also noticed by its Original soundtrack of quality (of which the tube of Kenny Rogers " Just Dropped In" , also known under the name of " To see what my condition was" , present at the credits of end).

The continuation appears on PlayStation 2 and Xbox, four years later, in June 2004 DRIV 3R ( Driver 3 ). In March 2006 leaves the fourth episode the series named Driver: Parallel Lines ( Driver: Parallel Lines ) whose design was entrusted to Gareth Edmondson (contrary to the 3 preceding episodes directed by Martin Edmondson).

With final, this play will have been published by WP Interactive then Infogrames become Atari thereafter.
