After the destruction during the War of 1914-1918, the reconstruction project of the commune were studied by the Parisian architect Jacques Debate-Ponsan.

  • Rebuilding of the Town hall-School

The 1st project is a North-South directed rectangle, established with the site of the former school, with the angle of the streets of Aizecourt and Tincourt, on a small island where was the provisional church and a pond. In 1923, a new site is selected for the rebuilding of the town hall-school, in agreement with the plan of alignment in the course of establishment. The commune acquires a piece belonging to Mr. Gustave Lemaire in order to build the new building. The final draft taking account of this new site (drawings and estimate, September and October 1924) proposes the same organization with the big room square of the council of 7,10 side m and 2 large bays on the 1st floor, but directed East-West parallel to the street. This project receives on August 11th, 1924, then on March 7th, 1925, the prefectoral authorizations for an expenditure of work of 161 148,55 F. the adjudication allots the building site to the general company Hubert Durlet (Driencourt). The final acceptance of work takes place in 1927.

  • Rebuilding of the Church

Built during the years 1920, it is also the work of the agency Debate-Ponsan.

The village has a certain number of houses and farms whose rebuilding could be allotted, from their style, at the agency of Jacques Debate-Ponsan which carries out the majority of the files of war damagees in the commune.
