Dream-work

Works of the Rêve is the operation which leads Latent content - Pulsion S and Représentation S Inconscient be - to the Manifest content of the dream, in other words the dream such as it presents itself to the revor.

The dream-work presents this given formation like , therefore not random but modelled well according to the psychic structure and of the experiments of the dreamer. This work is observed initially in the dream, whose interpretation is the royal roads leading to the unconscious one, but it is observed in other formations. Processes

Condensation

Displacement

Displacement, it is the displacement of the interest, where rather a pretense of displacement of the interest. The Affect is seen taken off of a representation: thus the psychic délagations of the impulse divide. Figuration

Freud considers a consideration of representability , translation literal of German: " Rücksicht auf Darstellbarkeit" , translated in a more correct and clearer way by " the tender with the obligation of representation figurative". The unconscious one cannot make pass a message, contents in the dream that by presenting this message in the form of image or of animated scene, and so that the contents are acceptable by the censure of the dreamer. The expression freudienne of " Rücksicht auf Darstellbarkeit" indicate that the unconscious one holds account owing to the fact that the oneiric contents cannot be abstract, must be figurative to be (Re) presentable. Therefore, by this expression, Freud understands that the dream seeks to take on a coherent aspect, to be appeared as a scenario worthy of interest, whereas the history which the dream reports masks the unconscious history, the theater of I. The figuration will make adopt known representations of the conscience, will possibly utilize of the not driven back diurnal elements. This figuration is empty narration, it does not report the history of the subject like subject of the desire; it is delayed on the Logique, the coherent speech, and completely masks the irrational word which however holds place of subject.

Interpretation

The interpretation of the dream will thus make an effort, starting from the manifest content, to find its and dream-work Latent content.

Other approaches

The vision of the psychoanalysis must be thought in the multitude of comprehensions of the dream. The cognitive Psychologie thinks the dream like mnemonic function , making it possible to assimilate the elements learned during the day.
