Dravidiens
In the beginning one indicated by the term Dravidiens only the Tamouls but thereafter the Dravidiens term applied to a whole of people and languages of the south of the India and Sri-Lanka.
A sophisticated civilization. It is known that Dravidiens, large navigators, essaimé to the Mediterranean basin. The excavations produced the obviousness of a trade with Mésopotamie. Wedge-shaped shelves mésopotamiennes describe transactions with the merchants dravidiens who exported noble metals, pearls, ivory, worked copper, ceramics and glassmaking. These navigators went up to the wearing of Arabia by the Red Sea.
Tamouls dominated the sea very early. They made trade with Rome at the time of the emperor Auguste. They sent ships towards many regions of the coasts of the Indian Ocean and dispatched tradesmen, scholars and their art of living. The island of Ceylon, separated from the Indian sub-continent per less than 30 water miles was not unknown of Tamouls which called it Eelam. They established there two kingdoms, there is more than 2000 years.
At the 20th century, the adjective “dravidien” was often used in claiming political contexts of a specificity in opposition compared to the inhabitants of the India of North. It appears thus in the designation of several movements or parties such as DK (founded by Periyar), the DMK and the AIADMK, to only quote most known.
Origin
Eastern theory
According to the Theory of the Aryan invasion, at the time of the arrival of the tribes Aryan born (come from the the Caucasus or Central Asia), the dravidiens, for the majority, driven back in the south of India or was mixed with the Aryan people.
The dravidiens are characterized by their black skin, their important stature and their thick and smooth hair, but does not seem to have bonds with the African blacks. For some they would have bonds with old the élamite S.
African theory
However according to Sheik Anta Diop in Negro Nations and Culture , much to bonds bring closer them to the Africans in particular by the religion and the culture.
Léopold Sédar Senghor was initiated with research dravidiennes by Lilias Homburger, which was professor of linguistics at the School of the High Studies, and which it first posed the assumption of the possible articulation between the languages dravidiennes and African languages. Senghor was impassioned for this research and obtained, when it was with the capacity, that bonds between researchers dravidiens and négro-African are established. Linguistic dimension was thus paramount, which does not exclude the importance from philosophical bases, and in particular the influence of Tagore
Senghor while putting forward arguments prehistoric, geographical, racial, cultural and linguistic, Senghor evokes scientific work which establishes this relationship in an irrefutable way: “It is, indeed, undeniable that Dravidiens divide same black blood with their brothers of Africa and the diaspora
Xerxes, Persian king achéménide (486 - 465 before J.C) wire of Darios 1st, which repressed the revolts of Babylon and Egypt, had constituted an army made up of many Ethiopian troops: the Ethiopian Eastern ones and Westerners, i.e. of Dravidiens and Nubians.
Certain historians go in this direction.
Al Farmhouse Udi says Abu-Alhasan Ali bin Al-Husain is called Arab Hérodote, because it was in a large traveller. Born in Baghdad (Iraq) it passed the majority of its time to travel to Asia, with the Close East and to Egypt where it died into 958.
Thus, Mas Udi reveals us that: As for wire of Cham it (namely wire black of Noah), they were established in the countries of the south (...) Nawfîr, wire of Could, wire of Cham, with the head of his/her children and of those which followed it took the direction of India and from Sind (...) It comes out from this tradition that the inhabitants of India and Sind are the descendants of Nawfîr, wire of Could, wire of Cham, wire of Noah (...) The first which is established in Egypt was Misr, wire of Bayar, wire of Cham, wire of Noah (...) Misr put the crown and reigned on a territory which started in Rafah, locality of Palestine, in Syria (...) To Assouan (in Africa) (...) The foreign sovereigns and people feared the Egyptians and took care not to have them for enemies Obviously, this text does not have any scientific value and raises of legends ésotérico-nuns.
The French historian Fabre d' Olivet , in his History of mankind , also confirmed him, this relationship while allotting to the “race sudéenne”, the architectural achievements of Ethiopia, of Egypt and India.
Lastly, James Cowles Prichard , regards as “one of the fathers of anthropological science”, After having examined the statues of ancient Indian Art, will arrive at the following conclusion: It would not know to have doubts as for the fact there that the models which inspired were either Nègres strictly speaking, or of the individuals having of the physical characteristics similar to those of the natives of Africa
Dravidiens of the south count several people speaking several tens of languages, note that they have any bond - neither of origin, nor of relationship with the remainder of the Indo-European languages of the Indian continent. The only languages found official by the Constitution of the Indian State, within the framework of the states of the south of India, are the télougou, the tamoul, the kannada (known as also will kannara) and the malayalam.
There are also many primitive tribes, speaking one about the five languages dravidiennes, present a négroïde-black type, with the curly hair.
Language dravidienne
Lilias Homburger and Theophilus Obenga found affinities between the old Egyptian, the languages dravidiennes, spoken today in India about the South, and the négro-African languages. Without speaking about the comparative studies between dravidien and sumérien, I announce that there are several theses of doctorate, written by of Dravidiens or the Senegaleses, on the relationship between the languages dravidiennes and languages of the sénégalo-Guinean group: wolof, serer, peul. What brings to think that it was one moment, with the Neolithic era, where the agglutinant languages recovered Africa, the Mediterranean basin and south of Asia. Writing
Being the writing, Alexandre Moret says to us, in his History of the East, that the first colonists of the “Eastern valleys”, cradle of the History - those of the Nile, the Tiber and Euphrate, Indus -, were of the “Négroïdes”. It is known that these are the descendants which invented the first three writings, Egyptian woman, sumérienne and dravidienne, and that none the languages which they expressed was Indo-European, nor Semitic.
I noted that the sumérien, which was the second written language, was an agglutinant language, like the négro-African languages and dravidiennes, and which the Blacks dravidiens of India compared their languages with that of Sumériens. Precisely, these are the Blacks dravidiens which, about year 2.500 before Jesus-Christ, invented the third writing of the world, thousand years before the arrival of famous Aryens.
