Dragut
Dragut (1514 close to Bodrum on the coast of the Aegean Sea - 1565) was a Turkish Admiral of the known Ottoman Empire in Turkey under the name of Torgut Reis .
It had been initially domestic of a corsair. Emulate and protected from Khayr AD-DIN Barberousse, it was announced by its races and its devastations on the coasts of the Royaume of Naples and the Calabria. Jeannetin Doria, nephew of Andrea Doria, did it captive in 1540 and it was forced to work as Galérien until its Rançon was paid in 1544. Blocked again by Andre Doria in the island of Zerbi, he escaped by his audacity (1560). He joined the Turks in front of with the head office of Malta, in 1565, with 15 galères, and was killed with this seat by a ball of gun. He was buried with Tripoli in Libya. He was one of the most famous Corsaire S of the Ottoman Empire. Several military ships of the Turkish Flotte was baptized in its honor.
