Dragonnier of Madagascar
The dragonnier of Madagascar ( Dracaena marginata ) is a shrubby plant originating in Madagascar and tropical Africa. Among the species of the kind Dracaena , it is most commonly used like house plant, the horticulturists calling then it quite simply " dragonnier " or " dracena ".
A study carried out in 1989 by NASA shows it among the most effective plants to remove the interior of the buildings from the principal domestic pollutants.
Use
The Dracaena marginata can be cultivated like plant of interior with the proviso of exposing it too a long time to temperatures lower than 10°C, and of sprinkling it only with one great moderation. The plant naturally dismantles base, it is thus recommended to associate it with other plants which will mask its long naked trunk. The propagation by cutting starting from sections of the stem is easy to realize.
Multiplication
The dragonnier of Madagascar multiplies by kids or suckers, by air Marcottage, cutting of stem and woody cutting.
