System of play
The system of play remained the same one as that of the preceding episode ( Dragon Ball Z 2: the Legend Saïen ), following the example graphics. Put aside the replacement of former characters, the change of the decorations, and a new presentation of the menus, this opus is very similar to its predecessor, although innovations are present all the same:
-
the gauge of Ki takes care from now on much more quickly.
- increased general Speed, in particular at the time of the jumps, falls, super attacks of the type Kame Hamé ha …
- New characters, and special blows revised for the characters existing already in the preceding episode.
- Possibiliter to fly away or return on the ground even when the screen is not divided.
- Presence of a training course where it is impossible to fly away (Vessel of Babidi).
- Addition of the sequences of quarrels when two combatants sink one on the other at the same time. The first which enters the adequate combination will strike its special blow of quarrel to the adversary. If none of both enters the order, the quarrel ends at the end of a few seconds, each character making a jump behind to get clear.
- It is from now on impossible to visualize its character and to test the blows directly on the screen of the list of the special blows.
- the small fireballs do not follow from now on any more the adversary if it is on a different level (in the airs whereas the launcher is on the ground or the ground whereas the launcher is in the airs).
- When two super attacks of the type Kamé Hamé ha are countered, the duel to indicate that which will see its attack succeeding is longer to gain.
- Meteor Smashes more personalized much for each character.
Modes of play
Fights
It is about a mode of traditional combat, allowing three types of battles:- Player 1 against Player 2.
- Player against Artificial intelligence.
- Artificial intelligence against Artificial intelligence.
Tournament
Following the example preceding episodes of the series Super Butôden , the tournament allows eight participants, controlled as well by human players as by the artificial intelligence, to clash for the championship of Tenka Ichi Budôkai.
Drive
The mode uses the same system as the " mode; Combat" , but health does not decrease, thus making it possible to the players to involve itself as a long time as they wish it.
Secrecies
Hidden character
Trunks of the future can be freed thanks to a handling carried out during the scene of opening of the play. It appears above Majin Boo on the screen of selection of the characters.
Meteor Smashes
Secret handling, which is not posted in the list of the special blows, makes it possible a character to carry out a spectacular attack removing a great quantity of energy to the enemy. The handling and the appearance of the attack depend on the character in question. However, two combatants do not have these techniques: C-18 and Kaiôshin. The name of Meteor Smashes being mentioned like " Saïyen" meteor; or " Démoniaque" meteor; in the play.
Original soundtrack
The play is precisely composed of 10 tracks which one can listen to with leisure in small Options and which carries a quite specific English title (that it is in the Japanese or French version). The list of the musics of funds is the following one:
-
HAPPY UP (Scene of opening)
- OPENING (Screen-title)
- BATTLE 1 (Its Gokû/Final of Tenka Ichi Budôkai)
- BATTLE 2 (Dabra/Majin Boo)
- BATTLE 3 (Its Goten/Trunks/C-18/Tenka Ichi Budôkai except the final)
- BATTLE 4 (Its Gohan/Kaiô Shin)
- BATTLE 5 (Vegetated)
- BATTLE 6 (Trunks of the future)
- SELECT (Selection of the characters)
- ENDING (Generic of end)
The music of battle of a combat is preset according to the adversary which the player faces, but there remains possible to change it where necessary before launching the combat. Thus, a player who faces Trunks of the future will see the music BATTLE 6 selected by défault, but nothing prevents it from modifying this automatic choice if it is not appropriate to him.
HAPPY UP is regarded as a music, but it is acted in fact of the palpitations heard in the introduction to starting of the play.
BATTLE 6 is a worked over again version of the topic of Trunks extracted the preceding opus, this last having for official name トランクスのテーマ ( Torankusu No Têma ) on the original soundtrack of the play. It is thus logical that this topic is exclusively allotted to Trunks of the future.
An original soundtrack was marketed out of CD, including/understanding all the musics of the play but in versions entirely rearranged with musical resources more powerful than those of the Super Nintendo. She is aujour' dhui not easily findable. The musics appear on the box of the disc with names different from those included in the play, more detailed.
