printing works Draeger published some of the masterpieces of the French edition.
Founded in 1887 per Charles, the company settles street of Vaugirard with Paris then it moves in 1908 to increase with Montrouge.
The dynasty Draeger (wire and brothers) will reign during nearly one century on remarkable workshops, which produced " a true panorama of the French Publicity in what it has of better and of more prestigious " (A.Weill)
The permanent innovation, the creativity, the use of the most modern material will confer an international reputation on Draeger. Certain advertizing catalogs for the industry and the trade of the luxury (furs, cars, perfume, wines) are of an unequalled richness.
It is between the two wars that the company knows its apogee. Famous artists then collaborate in it, among whom: Rene Vincent, Paul Iribe, Jean Deceived, Georges Lepape, Benito, Charles Martin, Leon Benigni, Cassandre, Charles Loupot, and Reynaldo Luza. For this period the typography, the page layout, the techniques of cutting, the innovating use of the color are put at the service of demanding customers who diffuse their plates of quality in the whole world.
The files of Draeger printing works were dispersed the March 6th 1990 with the Hôtel Drouot.
