Synopsis
Renfield, charged to conclude a real transaction with the count Dracula, goes in its castle of Carpathes, where the aristocrat, who proves to be a vampire, will hypnotize it to put it under his orders. Around film
Lon Chaney father, actor fetish of Tod Browning and already high-speed motorboat of a film of vampire, London After Midnight (1927), was initially designed to interpret Dracula. After its untimely death in 1930, Bela Lugosi which triumphed then with the theater in this same role, succeeded to him.Bela Lugosi was so impregnated role which it was buried with the cape of the vampire.
Paradoxically, its next official service of Dracula will be late: it will be in Two Simpletons against Frankenstein in 1948.
At the beginning of speaking, whereas sound postsynchronization was not yet at the point, other teams in foreign languages were often committed to carry out one or more parallel versions of the same film. There exists thus a Spanish alternative of Dracula turned in the same decorations and with different actors. Redécouvert in the years 1990, this Hispanic Dracula was oddly recognized like superior aesthetically and technically with his anglophone original. Its duration moreover exceeded the 100 minutes compared with the 85 of the version of Tod Browning.
