  • the Roman drachma was worth 1/96 of thus delivers Roman - which three quarters of a Greek mine - approximately 3,41 grams.

There exist two masses known as drachma in the countries Anglo-Saxon:

  • the drachma avoirdupois (symbol front Dr. ; in English dram ) is defined like 1/16 of ounce avoirdupois (27 11/32 grain S) and is worth thus exactly 1,771 845.195.312 5 Gram S
  • the drachma troy or large (symbol Dr. T ) is defined like 1/8 of ounce troy (60 gr.) and is worth thus exactly 3,887 934 6 G.
    One subdivides it in 2,5 Denier S ( pennyweights ) or 3 Scrupule S ( scruples ).

---- The dram (or drachm) is also a unit of Volume in the Anglo-Saxon countries.

It is defined like 1/8 of liquid Once, as well in the imperial Système of unit as in the American Système of unit.
