Drachenfels

The Drachenfels is an old volcano belonging to the mountainous area of the the Westerwald in Germany. High, the mountain 321 m abruptly draws up its walls with the top of the the Rhine.

Its impressive nature was worth its name to him which means the rock of the dragon. This place was the theater of one of the scenes being attached to the legend of the Nibelungen.
