Down By Law

Down by Law is an American film in black and white carried out by Jim Jarmusch.

Synopsis

Joined together in a cell of prison by " erreur" , three " innocents" meet without not having anything jointly. They are seen forced to support itself especially when the possibility of an escape comes. Then, from the stronger bonds will be welded. Most of film is based on the interactions between these characters, contrary to the codes like films of escape where it is the act and its construction which are proposed. As often at Jim Jarmusch, much of silence but also a slow progression towards the madness which watches for the escaped prisoners. Paranoia, hunger, loss of direction will be the keys of this progression. A beautiful demonstration of the affection between " buddies of galère" with the clean direction as with illustrated.
