Career
Had a presentiment of to become a supervedette, the Canadians fished out it with the first turn, 1st in all, with the Repêchage of entry in the LNH 1980. The young high-speed motorboat of the Western Hockey League played then for the Pats of Regina and carried out, at the end of the season 1979-80, the league for the marked goals (89). The captain of the Stalemates leads his club to the tournament of the Coupe Memorial and was named player of LCH of year (MVP). He also obtains the Trophée Bob Clarke for the greatest number of goals registered in the season. The Canadian misa of great hopes on him of fishing out it with the very first row - it became one of largest disappointments of the history of the league. To worsen its case, the player fished out third, Denis Savard, knew not only one brilliant career at the Blackhawks of Chicago, but was worth well resentment with Wickenheiser on behalf of the supporteurs of the Canadians, especially on behalf of the Québécois (which moreover prefer that the players of CH are other Québécois), because they saw with reason that their team had not fished out the good player. The attention of the media with regard to Wickenheiser became soon negative.
It was exchanged later with the Blues. Its best moment at the Blues was probably the " Miracle of Monday evening " ( Monday Night Miracle ) of the May 12th 1986 where, after an enormous increase on behalf of the Blues, Wickenheiser counted the gaining goal which finally forced the behavior of a Match #7 of the Campbell Conference. The Blues, unfortunately, lost this seventh match 2-1.
It will finish its career with 556 matches played in the league, cash 111 goals and adding 165 master keys.
