Doucen

Doucen is a commune of the Wilaya de Biskra located between Tolga at north and Ouled Djellal at the south. The origin of the name would come from the Berbère and will mean the side . It is a Oasis with strong agricultural vocation, one primarily produced there dates, but also of the Melon and Pastèque.

History

It was high with the statute of commune in 1958.

The commune of Doucen being very vast, it gathers several center urbanized of which most important after Doucen city is Tafechna. The common one counts 16 elementary schools, 3 CEM and a college.
