With the Baseball, a double game consists in withdrawing two players during the same sequence of play.

The double game is often called with humor the best friend of the launchers because it can quickly leave the defensive a precarious situation. The launchers often choose types of throws increasing the chances to more or less slightly obtain balls with double game (generally struck in the middle of the before-field, making rather easy obtaining a double game) and the teams in defense can modify the formation with the before-field (it is then said often that the team tightens the elbows with the before-field) to be likely more to intercept possible travelling.

Various types of double games

The most common way

The majority of the double games occur when there is a runner with the first goal and that the player with the marble (the striker) striking a ball on the ground in the before-field. The player who then intercepts the ball (generally the stop-short or the player of second goal) lance with the fellow-member covering the second goal, which then touches the cushion before the runner for a first withdrawal, then lance the ball with the player of first goal which touches its cushion before the striker for a second withdrawal.

There also exists of other situations where the defensive can obtain two withdrawals in the same sequence, but those are rarer.
