Origin and geographical distribution

The type of vine is obtaining the institute Staatliche Lehr- und Versuchsanstalt für Wein- und Obstbau Weinsberg with Weinsberg. The genetic cause is checked and it is a crossing of the type of vines Dornfelder X Cabernet-sauvignon carried out in 1971.

It is of the same parentage than the Cabernet Dorio.

Technological potential

The bunches are average with large and the bays are of intermediate size. The bunch is fairly compactee. The type of vine is very resists the Mildiou, not very sensitive to the Oïdium and enough resists the gray Pourriture. The type of vine gives wines vigorous and coloured well even in septentrional vineyards.
