Dorian college

The college Dorian is a general-purpose public corporation of the 11th district of Paris to scientific and technological vocation. It also shelters a Training center of apprentices (or CFA).

History

If the Dorian college is from its history a primarily technological establishment it also accommodates since the re-entry 2005 of the classes of mainstream education (second ITS and preparation with vat S/SVT).

Founded like municipal primary education boarding school in 1887, it was transformed successively into professional higher elementary school (1893), then in municipal technical school (1945), in municipal technical school (1957) to be finally nationalized in 1978.

The oldest wings were entirely renovated between 2002 and 2005; the college thus became a beautiful establishment combining old architecture and modernity.

Formations

This college proposes in particular:

  • dies of technological Mainstream education and S and STI (Mechanical Engineering, Electronic Engineering and Genius of Materials),

  • trainings in arts and techniques of glass and the trades of the sign, on the level CAPE and BMA,
  • many BTS (geometrician, maintenance, computer-integrated manufacturing, design of industrial products, data processing and systems of production, IRIS),
  • a BT of topographer,
  • a professional License (optical instrumentation and visualization) in partnership with the University Paris VI,
  • of the open preparation to the Arts and Métiers in 1946 remain the Preparatory classes PTSI and Pt.

It counts approximately 950 pupils including 300 post-vat and 85 in professional section and it lays out of a Internat boys.
