Environment

The vines artificialisé the landscape, but the proximity of the brackish lake and its Naturalité (although the water level is now controlled by it Pa a lock, and that it tends to be filled, with seldom more than 1,50 m basic) allowed the conservation of a great faunistic and floristic richness, with sites important for the ecological Réseau paneuropéen. The ecological richness comes mainly from the broad belt of reeds of the Lac of Neusiedl (the vastest lake of steppe of Europe) and of the close relation Steppe punt of the Seewinkiel characterized by salted ponds, lakes, fountains. Fragments of the roselière, desiccated by the continental climate in summer burn periodically. The future of the lake is questioned by its progressive filling, which has probably at least to some extent a human origin (control of water flows, but also Turbidité and general Eutrophisation of the environment).
