Donji Petrovci

Donji Petrovci , in Serb Cyrillic ДоњиПетровци, is a village of Serbia located in the autonomous province of Voïvodine. It belongs to the municipality of Ruma in the district of Syrmie (Srem). In 2002, it counted 991 inhabitants, of which a majority of Serbes.

Donji Petrovci is located on the edges of the Jarčina, an affluent of the Save.

Under the Roman Empire, the town of Bassianae was on the site of the current village of Donji Petrovci. At the 4th century, it was one of the most important cities of the province of Pannonia.
