Donald Budge
John Donald “Gift” Budge , born the June 13rd 1915 with Oakland (the United States), deceased the January 26th 2000 with Scranton, was a champion of American Tennis in the Années 1930.
He was the first man to gain in the same year the four tournaments which compose the Grand Slam of tennis. Many observers estimated that it had the best reverse of the history of tennis, at least until the advent of Ken Rosewall in the Années 1950 and 1960.
Budge was incorporated in the International Tennis Hall off Famed of Newport (Rhode Island) in 1964.
In December 1999, it had an car accident from which it did not go back. He died on January 26th, 2000, in Scranton.
