Domitius Domitianus
Lucius Domitius Domitianus (July 296 - March 297) is a Roman usurper.
In July 296, Domitius Domitianus rebelled in Egypt against the emperor Dioclétien, and its tax reform.
It took the control of Alexandria, then all Egypt rebelled in its turn. Domitianus proclaimed emperor, it tried to reintroduce the old monetary system. Dioclétien which cannot support the loss of Egypt, launched out personally to the reconquest. It ends up gaining the victory by making the seat of the city during long months, it made carry out Domitianus, and closed the colonial workshop of striking to replace it by an imperial workshop.
