Dominique has

Dominique Ané, known as Dominique has is a Auteur-compositeur-interprète French, born on October 6th, 1968 with Provins.

Biography

Born on October 6th, 1968 with Layered branches, Dominique Ané is the only son of a professor and a mother to the hearth. Solitary teenager, it impassions himself for the literature and the music. At fourteen years, with the beginning of the year 1980, its tastes are directed towards the punk current, then the dark romanticism of the new wave. After the baccalaureat, he studies the modern Letters during one year, and in parallel, he makes some odd jobs of which that of odd-job man in a radio operator FM of Nantes where its family saw. Around seventeen years, it assembles a group with some friends, John Merrick, of the name of the hero of " Elephant Man " , film worship of David Lynch. The quartet gives some concerts in the Nantes area and records even some 45 turns with the dark and tormented style. Then, with the singer Katerine, it also composes some titles but in a very different register, much more removed.

Beginnings

It starts at the beginning of the years 1990 by composing and recording songs of manner very minimalist, though in a spirit clearly Rock. He seeks to break with the “French song”, the song with text more literary than musical. Its first disc, produced by the label Nantes Lithium , at once is noticed and appreciated by Bernard Lenoir and the magazine Inrockuptibles. And the song the Courage of the birds became a tube underground.

Starting from 1992, it starts to occur on scene and takes taste quickly there, either groups some, or in solo.

Success widens in 1995 with the twenty-two bar , individual resulting from the album the New Memory . But this success is received bitterly by the artist who finds this song particularly badly written Antoine Desrosières.

In 2001, on the Auguri album, it makes a resumption of the group Polyphonic Size " I always have you aimé" , song written in 1982.

The turning

The discovery of the last album of Alain Bashung ( Imprudence ) in 2002 is a shock. Dominique has regards this album as a deep handing-over in question and it decides to explore new ways of working. It benefits from this moment to compile what it considers being its first period in a box Long box, entitled the turning . He asks for the occasion his fans to write on their report/ratio with his music and some of the produced letters are included in the booklet.

For the following album, it tries a new experiment and for the first time leaves the reins of the production of its album to thirds. It is the team the imprudence which works with him on All will be as before . The album leaves in 2004, but the fans have evil to find themselves there. In parallel, it occurs much on scene, under various formations: broad, minimal or even only, while testing itself with the technique of the Oversampling.

In March 2006 appeared the Horizon , new a opus where it joins again with the producer Dominique Brusson who had already carried out Remué (notable fact: it is the first time that Dominique has renews the experiment with the same producer). Having recently left the recording company Labels to be able to benefit from a full freedom of creation, it is thus quite naturally that it wished to be surrounded by “close relations” for this new album, that it announce as being most experimental to date. One will find thus on the album of old accomplices, such Sacha Toorop or Olivier Mellano, as of the musicians having accompanied it on the round All will be as before .

In 2007, after a great round, it leaves its first album live " On our forces motrices".

Collaborations

Dominique has collaborates regularly in the projects of other artists. Thus it continues to take part in the writing of the albums of Françoiz Breut, in spite of their separation at the city. It also composed several titles for the second album of Jeanne Balibar ( Slalom Rams ) as well as a song for Jane Birkin ( Where is the city? on the abum Fictions ).

It inspires also certain intrumentaux artists. One thus often sees it appearing in the albums of Yann Tiersen to ensure the vocal part of a song. In the same way, in 2002 the group electro Oslo Telescopic called upon him for their album The Dominique O Project .

Other collaborations are specific. For example, he sang in trio with Keren Ann and Vincent Delerm on the second album of this last ( Kensington Square ) on the song Veruca Salt and Frank Black .

Dominique has also influenced many artists. Its emancipation with respect to the French song with text inspired inter alia much Miossec, Holden or Arman Méliès which estimates that the artist their showed that it was possible to make the music which they liked by using French.
