Dominique Valera

Born the June 18th 1947 with Lyon, Dominique Valéra is a karate expert French, 8th daN of Karaté and 8th degree of American Boxe.

Biography

Karate

Born in a family from Spanish immigrants, it begins karate in 1960, after having made six years of Judo. At that time, it would have had as a Master Yves Folletete.

World champion by teams, he never became world champion into individual following a disqualification which leads it to strike a referee with the Championnats of the world of karate 1975 with Long Beach, in California. He is then excluded from the worldwide association of karate, and can only reinstate it well later.

Five years before, it gained all the same one of the two first bronze medals individual settings concerned lasting of the Championnats of the world of karate by finishing third equal with the American Tony Tullener at the end of the test of male Ippon of the Championnats of the world of karate 1970 with Tokyo, with the Japan.
