Biography

Left unscathed a master key of weapons between the life and death, with its birth, drew some from invaluable lesson for the continuation of the operations. Childhood of Provence, punctuated of many stays in the forests of the Morvan and on the coast the Vendée, in particular with the abbey of Saint-Michel-in-the Herm. At 17 years, several decisive meetings, in particular Christian Gabriel/le Guez-Ricord (1948-1988) in which it greets his/her “older brother in poetry” and which will direct its work durably.

In 1975, the review Avalanche founds. First poems published in the review Southern . Meet the town of Sorrente in bay of Naples of which it chooses to live the name. It takes part in the adventure of the review Southern of 1986 to 1997. In 1982, Cheyne which will become its principal editor during twenty years accommodates the manuscript of the lamp lit on Patmos . Prize winner Guy Lévis Mano in 1984, Sorrente receives successively the Prices Luc Bérimont, Antonin Artaud, Louis Guillaume as two assistances with the creation of the National center of the Book (France). A retrospective exposure is devoted to him to the Foundation Saint-John Perse to Aix-en-Provence (1999). Part of work is today translated into Mandarin, English, Italian, in German, Rumanian, Greek… Participe since 2005 at the editorial board of the review the Archers (Editions Titanic - Toursky), under the impulse of the actor and director Richard Martin. To date, lives with Marseilles, after the passage of around fifty, in “perpetual escaped prisoner of all the mediums” with an insular mood, sometimes exposed, sometimes in withdrawal. On its bedside table, the consent of a disorder without truce with the liking of the meetings and coincidences. Privileged readings of CAD De Jing, Héraclite, Blaise Pascal, Marie de France compensated by familiar the " Provence of Sports". Be interested more and more in the points of meeting between poetry and other investigations of reality: astrophysics, psychoanalysis, homeopathy, painting, modern music, spiritualities… Daily exercises “of bird frontier runner” in return ticket of its mental cave. It there gribouille, without too much being turned over, the inscriptions of a “newspaper of free in and out”; in its notebooks from day to day sometimes poems stir up, sometimes also drawings which are as much of pilot “natures”. Animate since 1999, with the small valley of Auffes, in Marseilles, a locality of poetry called " the Scriptorium ". Conceived like a semaphore of poetry, Scriptorium proceeds by “Intervals”, episodes intense and readily transitory, where meet some poets, artists and readers in search of a shared invention of the words. Rate/rhythm by the fraternal exchange, each Interval is lived like a impromptue creation with whole share. The traces of these meetings, with the variation of the modes of publication and current exchanges, draw little by little the screen of a whole in formation: former Future. In the middle of a “bad patch” occurs, like an oasis, a luminous experiment of international Residence writers with the castle of Lavigny (Foundation Ledig Rowholt, Switzerland) among the quite alive shades of Hemingway, Faulkner, Camus, Nabokov, and of their prestigious editor in German language.

Following one long period of latency, several works are found at the same time under development. One will quote: Mandala of the days, Hero without history , the merchant of epitaphs , Forwarding towards the sonnets of the world , an empire under the pieds'… as well as work of co-operation with other artists. In 2007, it inaugurates with the painter plastics technician Daniel Vincent and the dessinatrice Colette Papilleau a new poetic concept, the " Pictodrame". This cross work of a text and its visual and sound resonances bears the name of Interval 1 - " Letter with one living in chemin".

Fault of worse, thinks that today, poetry must be practiced like a foreign language. Try to work to cross the streets of the world as a poet with the “human brothers” whom it crosses. Would wish to speak low, and more if affinities, so that it is heard. Love the children of always. Believes in the constellated lives. Impassioned professor, with the EFGC!
