Dominique Gesseney-Rappo
Dominique Gesseney-Rappo , born on January 18th, 1953 with Valeyres-under-Rancid in the canton of Vaud, is a Compositeur, chief of chorus and Master of music Suisse.
Biography
After its studies with l´école normal, it follows, of 1973 with 1976, its professional studies with the Conservatoire of Freiburg with Paul Burger (violoncello), Henri Baeriswyl (theory) and Jean Balissat (orchestration).Its first popular compositions and arrangements go back to 1970. It directs several choruses and orchestras, that is to say chronologically the Chanson of the lake of Courtepin (of 1976 with 1983), the Quadrant of Moudon (of 1976 with 1994), l´ensemble vocal Chorège (qu´il created in 1979), and finally l´ together vocal Côte masculine and Chorus (2001).
In 1979, it founds and develops with his Christophe brother the Gesseney Editions which publish more than 366 title mainly of French musicians. In 1981, it obtains its patent of Master of music, is named second low Quatuor of Jaquemart two years later and is established with Champtauroz in 1984.
In 1991 it is responsible for the musical training of the Masters of music of the canton of Vaud to the academy of Lausanne.
He is prize winner of the Fondation Leenaards in 2006

In 2003 the cantonal and university Bibliothèque of Lausanne (BCU) publishes the list of works of Dominique Gesseney; more than one hundred of titles appear in this formed catalog of choruses of men, women and mixed, choruses and piano, choruses and quartet of coppers, orchestrates, copper quartet and various incidental musics of which in particular:- the Devil and the paper maker (1986)
