Dominique Deslandres

Dominique Deslandres is a Québécois historian and titular professeure with the Université of Montreal whose teaching and research relate to the compared history of America and Europe, with an private interest for modern mentalities (meets Other and identity construction at the XVIIe century).

Biography

After having supplemented a doctorate at the University of Montreal and to have been post-doctoral chercheure with the University of William and Mary in Virginia, this one teaches at the University of Montreal as of 1992. As from 2001, it is named professeure associated with the University with McGill.

After a major contribution in the History of Christianity (volume 9) and of many articles in reviews such as Mixtures of the French School of Rome , Re-examined history of French America , Studies of religious history , it makes appear in 2003 its first monograph: To believe and make believe: French missions at the XVIIe century Beech, followed into 2007 of the Sulpiciens of Montreal, 1657-2007. A history of being able and discretion Fides which it signs and codirige with John A. Dickinson and Olivier Hubert.
