Dominique Caillaud

Dominique Caillaud , manager of company, is a man Politique French, born the May 20th 1946 with Herbergement (the Vendée).

Family circle

His/her father, Martial Caillaud, were mayor of Herbergement of 1965 with 1987. His/her uncle, Paul Caillaud, was mayor of the Roche-sur-Yon (1961 - 1977) and appointed of the Vendée (1967 - 1978).

One of its sons, Laurent, son-in-law of the deputy Jean-Luc Préel, is city council man UDF Roche-sur-Yon since 2001 (opposition). He aspires to the town hall for 2008 with the nomination Nouveau Center.

Studies and professional path

Laid off in economic scenes (1968) and in rural and urban development (1969), He is successively business manager of the family company the Vendée Matériaux (1970 - 1982), general secretary of Sateg (1982 - 1985), general agent of insurances, then administrator of SA Moreau Caillaud Immobilier with the Roche-sur-Yon.

Political career

Mayor of Saint-Florent-of-Wood, general adviser of the Vendée, it is elected appointed on June 1st 1997 in the 2nd district of the the Vendée, re-elected in 2002 and 2007.

Member of the UDF, it is excluded from it in May 1997 because of his dissenting candidature for the delegation vis-a-vis the representative invested by the party, Bernard Suaud, whom it precedes with the 1st turn. He profits from the support of Philippe de Villiers, president of the general advice of the Vendée, and the movement launched by this last at the time of these legislative elections under the name of the independent Line .

He sits on the benches of not registered of 1997 to 2002, then he joined the UMP as of his creation.

He is Member of the Commission of the defense of the National Assembly.
