Dominique Borough

Dominique Bourg , born the August 11th 1953 with Tavaux (the Jura) is a philosophical French.

Holder of three licenses, two controls, two D.E.A., two doctorates (Strasbourg 2,1981; EHESS, Paris, 1995) and an Accreditation to supervise research in Philosophy (Lyon 3,1998).

Its fields of research relate to the ethics of sustainable development, the social construction of the risks, the precaution principle, the saving in functionality and the participative democracy. It published eleven works, directed eight collective works, took part in twelve dictionaries or encyclopedias and thirty works collective and signed fifty articles.

Ordinary professor in Unversité of Lausanne and director of the Institute of the Territorial Policies and the Human Environment (IPTEH) since September 1st, 2006.

He was director of the Research center and Interdisciplinary Studies on the Sustainable development (CREIDD) with the University of Technology of Troyes (UTT) from his cration in 2006.

He teaches with the Institut of political studies of Paris and taught philosophy at the technological university of Troyes.

He was member of the interdisciplinary research and study Center in Théologie (CERIT) of Strasbourg.

Dominique Bourg carried out work in industrial ecology for chemistry, within the framework of the UTT.

He belonged to the Commission Coppens, which prepared since 2002 the Charte of the environment, from now on included in the preamble to the Constitution.

He belongs to the National council of the Sustainable development and the ecological committee of day before the Foundation Nicolas Hulot.
