Dominique Borg
Formed with the Academy of Dramatic art by famous Masters: Henri Rollan, Rene Simon, Antoine Vitez, it goes up for the first time on scene at the 17 years age.
From his/her mother, Anne Béranger, singer, producing, actress, dancer, of Russian origin, comes to him its taste for the versatility. At the beginning of its career, it creates roles, costumes, decorations.
Since, it took part in many spectacles. With the theater with inter alia: Antoine Vitez, Denis Llorca, Marcel Maréchal, Bernard Murat, Georges Lavelli, Jean Louis Thamin, Roger Louret and Francis Huster. With the cinema with Claude Lelouch, Christophe Gans, Bruno Nuytten, it carried out the costumes of “Camille Claudel”, “Tolerance”, “the Poor wretches”, “Hommes Women, directions for use”… and of the “Pacte of the wolves” for which it will receive in 2002, its second César of the best costume after that for “Camille Claudel” in 1989. Its career was also crowned by Molière in 1991 for “the Cherry orchard” and another in 1997 for “the Libertine”.
It created costumes for many operas, and collaborates for the dance with Anne Béranger, Carolyn Carlson, Mitko Sparemblek, Nicole Chirpaz and Maurice Béjart.
The musical productions do not have secrecies for it: “Gospel Caravan”, “the years Twist”, “the fever of the Eighties”, “the Zazou years”, “Millenium” of Mylène Farmer and “the Parisian life” put in scene by Roger Louret.
What makes the key “Dominique Borg”, it is this eye which sees behind the actor, the major personality, the feelings which enable him to imagine the costume which will marry the body all while transfiguring it…
The costumes of the King and his court were thus predestined to him. It joined naturally the adventure of the Sun king assisted by Christine Jacquin, for the creation of more than 200 costumes and accessories what promises visual except standards!
