Domenico di Michelino

Domenico di Michelino (Florence, 1417 - Florence, 1491) is an Italian painter of the school florentine.

Biography

Although Vasari indicates it as raises FRA Angelico, it seems more probable than it is that of Alesso Baldovinetti or Francesco di Stefano Pesellino.

The single work which is allotted to him indisputably is the Portrait of Dante Alighieri, the town of Florence and the allegory of the Divine comedy (1465) in the nave of Santa Maria del Fiore.
